Submissions are now open for the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award, presented annually during Nordic Film Music Days in Berlin each February. One work from each Nordic country is nominated, with the winner announced at an award ceremony in the Nordic Embassies (Nordische Botschaften) on Saturday, February 13.

Nominated composers are invited to Berlin for Nordic Film Music Days, offering an opportunity to present their work, screen their projects, and deepen their connections within the international film music community. Icelandic composers have taken home the Harpa five times, most recently Eðvarð Egilsson in 2024.

Eligibility criteria:

• The score must be composed for a feature film, documentary, or television series (minimum running time of 50 minutes).
• The work must have premiered between July 21, 2025, and July 21, 2026 (based on the official release date on IMDb).
