Ásgeir Trausti recently performed three concerts at the legendary Foro Indie Rocks venue in the Roma district of Mexico City. Joining him were the Faroese dark-pop artist Elínborg and the Norwegian pop witch Moyka. The concert series marked the high point of a Nordic collaboration project between Iceland Music and the export offices of the Faroe Islands and Norway, aimed at creating opportunities for Nordic artists in the Mexican market and fostering connections with professionals in the Mexican music industry.

In addition to the concert series, the Mexico Calling project provided the artists with marketing and promotional support around their upcoming releases. Participants worked closely with experienced industry professionals, partners, and specialists in Mexico to do so. The goal was to secure them spots at key music festivals in the country and to lay the groundwork for future touring, further releases, and a stronger foothold in the Mexican market.
