Classical:NEXT, the world’s leading gathering for classical and contemporary music, is now open for applications! The next edition takes place 8–11 April 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.
Musicians, ensembles, creators, and professionals from across the globe are invited to apply in the following categories:

• Showcase Concerts – Soloists and small ensembles on stage.
  

• Club Showcases – DJs, soloists, and ensembles in a late-night setting.

• Conference Presentations – Share new perspectives and practical knowledge.

• Project Pitches – Large-scale projects, orchestras, or cross-disciplinary initiatives (9-minute presentation + Q&A).

• Film Showcases – Innovative films related to classical or contemporary music, in collaboration with IMZ.

Iceland Music has been an active part of Classical:NEXT, with the 2025 Icelandic delegation being the largest yet. Highlights included viibra’s flute septet concert and Sigrún Sævarsdóttir-Griffiths’ talk on collaborative composition.
