A Practical Workshop Hosted by Iceland Music

Mexico is currently one of the fastest-growing music markets in the world, and opportunities for Nordic music are steadily increasing there. Last autumn, Iceland Music, in collaboration with the export offices of the Faroe Islands and Norway, organised an extensive trade mission to Mexico. One artist was selected from each country, and they performed at three concerts at the legendary venue Foro Indie Rocks in Mexico City. The main emphasis was placed on connecting the group with key industry professionals in the region to lay the foundation for long-term relationships.

In this practical workshop, we will cover how to build networks, organize concerts, and manage strategic planning in Latin America. Partners and participants from the Mexico project will share their experiences, real-world examples, and the key lessons that industry professionals need to keep in mind.

  • Who is it for: Artists, managers, and music industry professionals who want to explore opportunities in Mexico and Latin America.
  • Language: The workshop will be conducted in English.
  • Format: Online (A Zoom link will be sent the day before the event).
