Iceland Music is currently at Jazzahead in Bremen, where a large delegation is showcasing the broad spectrum of the Icelandic jazz scene at this prestigious event. Joining the delegation is the trio Hist og, who will perform at the Nordic Clubnight at Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus this weekend. The concert is a collaborative project between Iceland Music and our Nordic sister organizations—Music Finland, Music Norway, and Faroe Music Export—and will feature Harri Kuusijärvi (FI), Jákup Torgarð (FO), and Phønix (NO) alongside our own.
To mark the occasion, we invited Hist og to take over our Iceland Music Jazz playlist. The result is an engaging selection that captures the sonic world the trio inhabits. Since 2017, Hist og have carved out a unique space in the Icelandic scene with a vivid improvisational style that sits at the intersection of jazz and electronic music. The playlist reflects this environment, bringing together the scene's key figures and close collaborators who explore similar territories to the trio itself.
