Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen, the Netherlands, celebrates its 40th edition in January 2026. As one of Europe’s leading showcase festivals, ESNS is a key platform for new European music, featuring around 350 performances across all genres and drawing over 40,000 visitors – including 400 international festival bookers.

Alongside the festival, ESNS hosts a major conference with workshops, panels, presentations, and more. Many Icelandic artists have performed at ESNS and gone on to secure significant opportunities – Ásgeir, Vök, Sunna Margrét, Supersport, and many others among them.

Who should apply?
ESNS only accepts applications from European artists. Performing artists must hold a passport from one of the eligible countries. Before applying, it’s worth reviewing Iceland Music’s guidelines on when a project is considered “export-ready.”
