A new board was elected at Iceland Music’s annual general meeting on April 29th. Representatives from the founding organisations—STEF, FÍH, FHF, TÍ, and KT—will continue their tenure. Additionally, the Minister of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education has appointed Óttarr Proppé, musician and specialist at the Ministry of Health, and Eva Hrund Einarsdóttir, Managing Director of the Akureyri Cultural Company, as the ministry's representatives. Óttarr succeeds Einar Bárðarson as Chairman of the Board, and Eva Hrund takes over from Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir. We extend our sincere thanks to Einar and Sólrún for their dedication and excellent collaboration during Iceland Music's foundational and formative years and warmly welcome Óttarr and Eva Hrund to the team.

At the meeting, María Rut Reynisdóttir, Managing Director of Tónlistarmiðstöð, presented the annual report for the past year. In 2025, Tónlistarmiðstöð established itself as the home of Icelandic music. We look back on these achievements with pride and look forward to building further upon this foundation.
