<p id="">Classical:NEXT is just around the corner and Iceland Music is proud to announce its presence at this prestigious event. As one of the most significant gatherings for the classical and art music community worldwide, Classical:NEXT provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and showcasing talent. After a year-long hiatus, the event is set to return from May 13-17, 2024, in its exciting new location of Berlin, Germany.</p><p id="">Iceland Music will be prominently featured at stands 28 - 31, alongside our Nordic counterparts. We invite all attendees to come and meet us, discover Icelandic artists, and explore potential collaborations and opportunities.</p><p>‍</p>

<p id="">The next application deadline for the Travel Grants is May 1. They are provided to support Icelandic artists and professionals who are building an international career.</p>

<p id=""><strong id="">Atli Örvarsson</strong> has won his first BAFTA Award for his music in the Apple TV+ series <strong id="">Silo,</strong> created by Graham Yost and based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of novels.</p><p id="">‍</p><p id="">‍</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">Earlier this year Iceland Music reported that funding for export would follow the same format as the old Iceland Music Export Fund through April. Now all grants have been awarded in that format, and all future travel- and marketing allocations will be moved to the new system. Announcement to come later in April.&nbsp;</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">Tónlistarmiðstöð, the new and expanded Iceland Music, will have a grand opening at their new headquarters, Austurstræti 5, in downtown Reykjavík. Open house starts at 4 PM with the team greeting guests with walking tours, light refreshments, and music.&nbsp;</p><p>‍</p>

Last year’s edition received rave reviews with outlets like <strong id="">NME</strong> awarding the event four stars.</p><p id="">The attached conference is a later addition that continues to attract delegates from all corners of the music industry, held by <strong id="">Iceland Airwaves</strong> in collaboration with <strong id="">Iceland Music, Reykjavik Music City</strong> and<strong id=""> Business Iceland.</strong><br></p><p id="">‍</p>
